United Service Association For Health Care (USA+) is a non-profit
corporation chartered in Washington, D.C., in 1983. The organization
was formed to promote the adoption of equitable health care policy in
the United States, engage in nonpartisan research, study and analysis
for the benefit of the general public regarding the health care system
of the United States and on occasion; publish the results of our
research.
USA+ is committed to the promotion of equal access to health care for
all Americans. We stay abreast of legislation proposed by state
and federal regulators that may have an adverse or favorable impact on
our membership population. When necessary, we contact regulators in
order to have an opportunity to convey the views of the association's
members.
We assist charitable, educational and social welfare organizations in
the conduct of similar activities. The association donates $2 of the
membership dues collected from each member on a monthly basis, in
order to support organizations that have purpose to discover new
health treatment solutions that are effective and affordable, improve
the level of treatment provided to patients, provide assistance for
those individuals with handicaps and provide assistance to educational
organizations.
In November of 1987, the USA+ Membership program became one of the
first group association Benefit Programs set up to provide the small
business owner, his family and employees with a quality benefits
package previously available only to employees of large corporations.
Through the power of its national membership, USA+ is able to bring a
comprehensive line of benefits to individuals, families and business
owners by leveraging its high-volume buying power. The Association
identifies the needs of its members and finds the nation's top
providers of services and products to satisfy those needs, negotiating
favorable pricing from a variety of top-tier vendors.
We also realize that many individuals lose their job due to a company
re-location, company downsizing or as the result of natural disasters. For
most individuals, loss of employment also means a monetary loss.
The Benefits Protector program helps cushion the impact of economic downturns
that occur. If a USA+ members loses their job through no fault of their own,
their membership dues will be waived for three (3) months and membership
benefits will continue during this time frame.
This is just one of the ways that we strive to provide meaningful benefits to
our members.
